Taste of Cypress Place & Classic Car Show

Cypress Place Senior Living, in conjunction with the Ventura Police Activities League (PAL), will be holding the “Taste of Cypress Place & Classic Car Show” on Wednesday evening, August 24 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.  Please see the attached flyer for more information.

 All proceeds from the event will benefit Ventura PAL and support Ventura PAL’s primary goal of providing at-risk youth within our community with meaningful recreational, athletic, educational, and cultural activities.

 As part of the event, Ventura PAL is also selling raffle tickets for the following items:

•  Sony 40” Internet TV ($800 value)
• Acer 10.1” tablet ($500 value)

 Ticket & Prize Information:

•  Raffle tickets are $5 for one, or five for $20.  
•  You do NOT need to be present to win.

Tri-Tip BBQ Benefitting VPD Family Member Diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease)

WHAT:  Tri-Tip BBQ Benefitting VPD Family Member Diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease)

WHEN:  Saturday July 16^th, 10:00am – 6:00pm

WHERE:  Albertson’s (7800 Telegraph Rd.), on the corner of Telegraph and Kimball

ABOUT THE EVENT:

One of our VPD family members was recently diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) which has no known cause, cure, or treatment.  Our department’s non-profit foundation, the Ventura Police Activities League (PAL) is partnering with Albertsons and holding a BBQ fundraiser to raise funds in support of our VPD family member.

All proceeds will go directly to the family in an effort to try and help with some of the financial costs associated with this tragic disease.

The BBQ comes with a choice of:

—- Whole Cooked Tri-Tip $15.00

OR

—- Tri-Tip Sandwich, Chips and Drink $8.00

We will also have a variety of silent auction and raffle prizes

Tickets can be purchased in a variety of ways — in advance by calling 805.901.1111, at the K9 Storefront located in the Pacific View Mall (lower level near Target), at the front desk of VPD’s headquarters (1425 Dowell Dr.) from 8 am to 5 pm M-Th., or even on the day of at the event.

14 Annual PAL Golf Tournament Presented by Aera Energy

We want to thank all of our sponsors, players, and volunteers who helped make the 14th Annual PAL Golf Tournament at Olivas Links and huge success.

The golf, weather, food, prizes, and camaraderie were great, but most importantly we raised over $33,000 for our youth in the community!
